Moses Lake Measles: no more cases in ML reported since I gave up and went to the health dept. for a shot. The last two cases were WalMart employees, so about 240 WalMart employees had to get tested for titers, and anyone who had been to the store during certain hours was to get the shot at the Health Dept. I told them I had been there (who knows, I may have been) and so I got the shot for free. Need one more any time now, and then I have proof that I am immune. I was born in the 'no man's land' of dates -- if 1957 or sooner, they would assume I was immune. But between 1957 & 1963 or so they weren't so sure the immunizations actually took. I had the positive titer when pregnant with Dayna, but that was for Rubella -- they just could assume I had the MMR shot and all three were OK -- but that's not proof of measles immunity. So I still need to go get the second one and then I won't have to worry about exposing the grandchildren before they are old enough to get their own shots done.
My Nose: I am pretty sure it's not broken. Not sure what the crunch I heard was, but with no bleeding or swelling to speak of (maybe a tiny bit the first day) it apparently meant nothing. Looks pretty much normal now, no discoloration, but it is still tender if I touch it, right where the bone and cartiledge would meet. No stuffy nose, nothing else, just tender. So I think I'll be fine. Of course I always had a big nose -- something Madison pointed out to me once when she was about 3 or 4. :o)
Just too bad Jason wasn't the one helping with pigs that day in my place -- he WANTS his nose (re)broken so it can be fixed straight. Might have worked for him.
Thea: Still mostly eating and sleeping, I guess. Not seeing as many photos of her as Danelle, but I think that is because she generally looks the same (asleep) and Danelle was awake and looking different each week.
Don't Miss Out!

Don't worry, we are still taking about the same number of pictures as I look back at our photo archives. At some point we might even get some of them from the camera to a computer, that just seems to be a lot of work some evenings this past week.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know the feeling. I think I got through day 4 or 5 of our S.America tour blog photo postings before other things bumped it from the top of the priority list (again). Maybe after the wedding ...
