Kitchen Helpers

I never quite got to it over Valentine's Day so with Dayna and the girls visiting this week to give Shane some down time, (study time, free time, quiet time), we had a cookie-baking event on Tuesday. Danelle did a good job helping to roll out and cut out the cookies -- hearts, pigs, boys, girls, and flowers. Thea used the cookie cutters for her own purposes (no teeth yet). Danelle did a pretty good job of frosting and decorating the cookies too -- and immediately set aside two to take home ("one for me, one for Shane"). I missed getting pics of that, but she took it quite seriously.

On Thursday we made some cinnamon rolls and carmel rolls from the mashed potatoes we couldn't finish for dinner one day (see previous post), and everyone has had a good time munching on all of it. I am pretty sure they will all be gone by the time Lou gets home on Sunday evening.

Danelle also liked the trampoline even if it was a cold day, made a few treks out to see the pigs, and a rode into the shop in the new tractor with Uncle Ben, Mommy, and Thea.

Today Danelle told me "I live in town. We don't have any pigs, just one dog." Which is what makes visiting the farm all the more fun, I guess. The girls left for home this afternoon ... we all had a pretty fun week, I think.
