That used to sound so OLD, but I've noticed my perspective on that has changed quite a lot since I've been over 35. And both he and mom make it look so young. This photo they sent with their Christmas card shows them holding their great-grandson Ruston, and you can see they look like his grandparents, not his great-grandparents.
We are all thankful that both Dad and Mom have thus far been spared any of the major health scares and just plain stuff many retired folks have experienced by this time in their lives. They maintain two yards and two gardens, cut and split and stack firewood, and Dad still has almost all his hair (and it's still brown).Happy Birthday to you, Dad.
... and Merry Christmas, too.
May you live to be 100, like you say you want to.
Love from your #1 daughter,
Debbie
How nice to see a picture of your parents :) They are nearly the same age as my parents!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you all! May God's peace and the light of the Saviour guide your days in the new year.
I just read Kelli's blog and see that you are going to have a new grandchild in 2010! How exciting! Praying that the growth and development of this little one will be just as God intends it.
