Fair Week Visitors

This week we had the pleasure of having "the girls" stay with us for 5 days. It was Grant County Fair week and Gramma Renae and I shared the girls while Dayna and Amy did a couple of days in the commercial building gaining Mary Kay contacts. Renae and I spent Tuesday afternoon at the fair with the girls, my first time at the fair in about three years. Thea really loved the goats, running from one pen to the other and talking to them all until she bumped her head on one of the fences. Danelle liked the animals, too, but was in hot pursuit of some cotton candy since her daddy (working at home) told her she could probably have some there. We thought we were out of luck for a while but finally found some way over in the carnival area. It was a hot afternoon so we rested in the air conditioned 4-H building while she munched on some of it.That building also had cold drinking fountains (note her wet shirt front) and restrooms :o)
Kelli had us over for playtime with Nicholas and pizza dinner when we were done at the fair -- yummy! Then bathtime for all three of them (sorry, no photos of that, but it was a fun time too), and back here to bed. They were so tired that there was no problem getting them to sleep!

Thea discovered corn on the cob this week-- this video says it all -- and Danelle cleaned up a whole ear herself too.


On Thursday Thea learned how to get a drink from my leaky hose while Danelle bounced on the trampoline for about an hour! (completely her idea to wear the goggles ...) It was a pretty fun day -- a pretty fun week!
