Happy Birthday!

Yesterday our newest niece was born to Tanya and Greg. I may have to correct the spelling later as I have not received official printed word of her vitals, but this is what I heard:
Addison Sophia was born at about 8:30 AM, 21 inches long and 9 lbs. 14 oz. She has a big sis, Avery, and a bigger brother, Hunter. All is well. She was a planned c-section so we knew she was coming on August 20th.

While all that was going on, Lou and I were cruising Lake Chelan. Actually, we departed at about the same moment Addison was born, 8:30 AM, riding the Lady of the Lake II from Chelan to Stehekin at the far end of the lake. It takes 4 hours each way, so it was a full day trip. Lou wanted to do this last fall, it got put off, he suggested it for my birthday and we finally had time yesterday when the weather cooled enough so the pigs wouldn't need watering every two hours.

We saw some beautiful scenery, houses built where one wonders how they got them built there (until we saw the barge), and even some wildlife. These big horn sheep were 5 of a larger group; the others were further up the side of the rock hill. The weather was a mixed bag; not too hot or too cool, some sun enough that I wished I'd remembered my sunscreen, and some brief showers (if they could even be called that). The boat has a set schedule, so the locals know exactly when to come out if they want to ride the wake on their tubes or jetskis. We had several sets playing around behind us, each direction.

It was a pretty relaxing day, with no meeting to go to, or event to be at. We ate lunch at Stehekin during the 90 minute layover, and rode back to Chelan again.
